Well... after what seems like forever at staring at a hollow engine bay, I can finally be at ease!

Thanks to Jeremy (MrMojoRisin), We were able to get the motor back in her today relatively pain free... I still need to secure some valve covers and fix up some wiring, but it's in. I'm hoping to hear her run tomorrow.

Here's what we started with: (refresher)

    And now:

and now that the motor is in the electric works... and I could finally roll up my windows to stop MORE dust from getting in there... why did I leave them down?

Nice! I hope you get the motor running soon! Post some sound clips when you do. Maybe even some video!

Well i finished up all the wiring.. though I havent loomed it yet, slapped on the dizzy and some mismatch valve covers and snap, she fired up. It took some fiddling with the timing but I got it at about 10 advance and its idling good. I have one loose rocker thats making some bad rattles. Once I tighten that sucker down Ill get a vid of it and my dads street rod, his is much louder, but mine sounds badass too!

OK I got a short video of it in "card mode" on my cam. Unfortunately because its not in tape mode the sound quality is a bit muffled Im uploading it to Streetfire... does anyone know of a better way to compress it easily. Its AVI and about 10megs.

EDIT: The player automatically compresses it... nvm. Which means the sound'll be craptastic.

                      Woot!

Sounds good man, but if you know you have a loose ticking rocker arm why don't you fix it?

Thanks guys. Yea that rocker was ticking really loudly and I actually did tighten it before those vids... apparently I missed one. Its an absolute ***** to get the pass side valve cover off. The heater hose, wiring, spark plug loom and AC is all on top of it. lol.
