  • HELP cooling problems!

okay well i had to put a new thermostat housing on because i cracked my old one. the thermostat inside it is a month old, so we should be good to roll. im afraid to start it up tho because my car keeps overheating, or thats what the gauge says, and dont wanna mess anything up again. i just got my fan running then i had this problem. i think i wanna do a radiator flush but dont know how, or something to purge my cooling system of air and bubbles. could someone point me in the right direction of how to do this? thanks!

    What's overheating? Temp?
    What's your thermostat rated at?
To purge air out of the system...start the car when the motor is cool without the rad cap on. Let it run awhile to warm up and shortly after the coolant starts to flow, verified by looking into the top of the rad, shut it off, top it off and you are good to go.
