  • What Tire/Wheel combo looks best on 3rd Gens?

I am sure someone has posted something similar like this in the past but since I don’t live in the past and that new combos may have come out since then I will re-ask the question here.
What Tire & Wheel combinations do you think look best on a third generation Camaro or Firebird. I stress that I am specifically asking about 3rd Generation here, and really don’t care if it would look awesome on a 4th, 1st or 2nd gen, since I only own a 3rd gen.

Now just for the sensitive people out there, this isn’t because I don’t think other generation cars are not cool too, I just know that sometimes when something looks really cool, or fits great on a 4th gen, it might not look so great or fit so well on a 3rd.

One more thing, I don’t plan to modify anything to get the wheel and tire combo to fit. Needs to fit a stock 3rd gen.

Photos may be too much to ask for, but if you got them, lets see them.

    Thanks in Advance..

18 by 8 in the front and 18 by 9 or 9 1/2 out back.

or 17's in the same size dont look too bad but i think 18's really set a car off compared to 17's

Well...depends on how much money you want to spend! I like 18's but would also like to push the envelope a little and see about 19's or 20's. I love my 18's and at first they seemed huge...now they just look normal. Can't go wrong with a 5 spoke design and get some dish to the wheel also. I went with 18x8's front and 18x10's rear which lets me run a 295 series tire in the back. If you go any wider in the back you will have to make some sheet metal mods.

i use 17x9 American Racing Cartel with Falken tires, they seem to stick pretty well and they create A LOT of smoke...well that is kinda thier purpose
It's easier to make a 3rd gen faster than to make a 4th gen look good

I tend to lean toward what I have. . . C5 Corvette wheels look frickin' AMAZING on 3rd gen Camaros. . . Firebirds too, I would imagine. I'm loving the Falken 512's that I have too. . . Here's a pic:

                            I like this combo,
                            16x8 stockers on the front
and 26/10.5's on a steel 15 in rim in the rear
                            "I wanna go fast"
might not be the best looking, but I'm kinda partial to the slepper look.

I never seen these rims on a turdgen till I seen them on his car and it looks real good so I'd have to go with them

But the TT2's look really good too..on any camaro
