Recomended tire press. ?

What tire press. do you usually run in your stock 16" Iroc wheels?

There should be a tag on the door stating tire size and recommended PSI from GM. My SS tag says 30psi but I generally run 32psi.

if running goodyears disregaurd the sticker in the door and run 40psi, there used to be a tsb on the 3rd gens about the tires flat spotting (I replaced about 20 sets from it under warranty)

ya i normally go by the tire rating... not the door gotta figure that things have change sence they last made your car... im running between 35-40 with my BFG's

I bought these wheels from a guy on this site.
They have the Kumo 245-50's on them.
I was thinking somewhere between 35-40 psi. , but I figured at that pressure I'd feel every bump in the road.
If 32 psi. is the best recomended press. for ride, then thats what I'll run.

Brian....I always ran them at 32psi.....as you can tell the tire wear on them was excellant. Always follow the manufacture rating listed on the door when running the tire size listed. Those ratings are based off of vehicle load and weight. A tire manufacture cannot predict what vehicle the tire will be used. The only spec to adhear to on the tire is MAX PSI rating. Hope that helps.

that only works if you use the origianl tires, and the 2 sides communicated (or you get the goodyear flat spots, they say 38 psi in the f body gm says 32). The optimal way to set pressure is to mark your tread with chalk and drive forward slowly, and check the contact patch, if light at any point accross adjust up or down until it is even all teh way accross (also if you have added any weight you need to raise pressures to keep teh tire from overheating) today's tires are completely different than anything available in the 80's. Also bear in mind quite often that door sticker was printed before the car was built, and it may have gotten an option change in the line
