Some backstory, 87 firebird base, 2.8, couldn't get spark, changed coil, no spark, changed icm, and it fired up. Took it for a test drive, and it died at a stop sign, couldn't get it to fire back up, still getting spark at the plugs, sputters with starting fluid & full throttle. I'm starting to believe its either bad injectors or a fuel pressure regulator. I've got a couple of questions, what ohm are the injectors supposed to be? And how do I test the fuel pressure regulator? The gas in the tank was pretty much varnish, it ate the plastic on the fuel pump, so I'm assuming it killed the regulator also.

Sounds like my old 96. My third gens have always been reliable.

I think the stock injectors measure 6 ohms. If the gas was like farvish I would pull the injectors and take them to a place that cleans and flow tests them cost 50-60 bucks but thats cheaper than new injectors. I would change fuel filter also and get that bad gas out of the tank

so.......how do your fuel lines look? if they are rusted replace them as they may be clogged anyways.
