  • Need Help - 82-92 Gas Tank Swap

    Guys,

Has anyone updated their gas tank in their 82-92 Camaro/Firebird to a 98-02 Tank?
I had heard that it will fit perfectly, but before I go hunting...I'd like to know if anyone else has tried this.

I have 2 cars that will need tanks, and am wondering what is the best tank to swap in?
    Thanks
    C

99 and up had plastic tanks, they hold a bit more fuel and will fit in fine. You will have to modify the lines and such, as well as the fuel level circuit to work with the stock gauge.

It does bolt right in. But you have to do something with the stock fuel lines.I just made my own AN lines -6.
