After you shut the car off and remove the key you can hear a click then the interior lights turn on. You can push the button on the overhead and it shuts them out, but if you forget to push the button the battery will be dead in a few days. The click comes from the passenger side kick panel. Is there a circuit breaker that could be weakened or is there a relay? The interesting thing is the light that come on are the dome light and floor lighting, but the push button overhead shuts them all off. Any idea's? Thank you

Yea its a great looking car you picked up!
Im not aware of there being anything under the passenger kick panel. But don't qoute me.
That is a really odd problem you got, I've never heard of it. I'll do some checking into it.
If you haven't joined thirdgen.org yet, you mine aswell now. It's a GREAT informational site. I've learned a lot of things from there.

I started poking around and looking into this. There is a delay box in this car that is suppose to shut the lghts off after a few moments. This is not happening. Sometimes it will and other times it doesn't. I need to find this thing and unplug it. I really don't care if the delay doesn't do like it is suppose to. I picked up a couple of parts today. Coolant temp sensor and oil pressure sending unit. I will keep the little 2.8 running like it should until I figure out what to do. I am considering LS motor. I need to research it a little more. but for now 2.8 is working although my wife laughed at the poor thing. She says that car is the slowest thing on the road. I told her that is 107 horses driving that fine automobile. She believes our lawnmower has more power. I will not race this car against her G6 she will kill me. That hurts!!!!!

So the interior lights starting going off like they should. I have no idea why. I gues the Berlinetta has some delay with the interior lights after you pull the key out. I am not sure if all 84 third gens do it or not. I think the more the car gets used it will get back in working order. So here is the new problem..... I had a serious carb issue and ended up finding a reman. at a good price. I really didn't want to sink another $ into the 2.8 v6 but with the price of gas going up and up and up I figured I might just use it as a daily cruiser once the springtime rolls around. So I put the carb on and got it all adjusted. Then I climb back into the car and the dash lights are out. I check the fuse and it is blown. I put another one in there and it doesn't blow, but the dash doesnt start working either. This is a completely digital Berlinetta dash, so I have no info at all. I cannot find any disconnected or broken wires/fusible links. I see that there is a instrument panel cluster relay available for this car. Where is this stupid thing located? Is it possible the relay blew? I just can't understand what caused this problem. Something must have got pulled or screwed up in someway when I put the carb on. But the question I need answered is........ Where is the relay?
Thanks
