I miss the GN but I guess it's time to start over.
The carb rebuild went good. Sort of a pain in the ass. Would prefer rebuilding a Holley, the little Varajet E2SE was an educational rebuild. There was so much destroyed fuel filter in that thing. The float level adjustment was more a guessing game. I tried to use the supplied paper ruler that increases in increments of 32ths. Then there was the issue of one carb has 5/32 and another 9/32. So I bent the bracket back and made sure the needle would come off the seat and tried it out. Well I think I got lucky, it purrs like a kitten. Now, anyhow, it was idling at 3500 rpm when I fired it up. It was pissed. I had a bracket that connects to the choke pointing down rather than up. So I flipped it around along with a couple of vaccuum lines I overlooked. It has far too many vacuum lines. Fired it up, and perfect.
