For 3000, what do you think?

Alright guys well I'm looking at another car, I just can't seem to find one that I like. The guy said it has 500miles on the rebuilt motor and trans. He also said it was a marine block, and I don't really know about those so if you could help me out with that. It has a dry kit in it brand new. Its never been sprayed on the rebuild. Its posi, needs some work. But the door, could that be fixed or would I be better off getting a new one? Or just look at a different car?

what year is it? looks like a fomula bird not a bad price if it is rebuilt... id make sure he had recipts to prove its rebuilt interior needs some work but the door is an easy fix not sure how bad that rear quater is but doesnt look to awful bad...

its an 89 with the 350 "marine block" 700r4, and he said theres no dent there, the pic just makes it look like that. But i don't believe him. I think i'm gonna go look at it tomorrow or monday. Its all the way in toledo though which kind of sucks. 3000 with spray, 2700 without

i already offered him that, he said no becuause he had that much into the drivetrain and the spray kit was 500 bucks

Buy it and pull out the drivetrain and put it into your car. Your car appears to be in ALOT better shape than that one.

yea I agree. when something looks bad in pictures it almost ALWAYS looks way worse in person. I wouldnt try to save that one personally.

I can also see he sprayed the shit out of the engine bay with armor all, because he got it all over the paint on the front quarters in the process.

yeah my car is in a lot better shape than that one. Under my declid theres no rust, and most third gens have a ton there as you can see from the pics. The drivetrain to me wouldn't be worth 2500 though. I guess if he had a new door and new front fenders then it would be worth it, I guess i'll just keep looking, thanks guys.
