  • Does this even do anything?

Saw this and was wondering if it would even make any kind of a difference?

more air flow i believe. never been a TPI fanatic but when reading threads ive just noticed it for better air flow. usually guys on thirdgen increase their runner size along with it. i believe same sort of ordeal goes with the LT1 unit

this in conjunction with a throttle body spacer (creates turbulence to create a more efficient air/fuel mixture) and porting and polishing your tb could probably be a noticeable boost. you may as well go all out if youre sticking to a stock tb. but dont create a shiny surface when you polish you want a little friction or there are some disadvantages. also, the gains would be more noticeable at higher speeds i would imagine

i put that on along with a k&n cold air intake on all 3 of my lt1s. in theory it makes sense. if you look straight at the throttle body, before, and after the air foil, it seems to me like the air foil will help push more air into the throttle body. but im not a mechanic lol

Unless the air is moving supersonic, it cant be compressed by itself. So it wont be pushing any more air anywhere. I could help smooth airflow patterns, but the effect of that is negligible IMO.

My guess is its just like the "TORNADO" thing, good in theory to the public eye. But doesnt really do jack.

maybe push was the wrong word. maybe "directs" the air into the two ports on the throttle body is better. either way, you are probly right
