Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

My 85 z28 has the air pump pulley already taken off and I'm not even quite sure what it is for. My dad said something about the exhaust and catalytic converter but I have no cat anymore. I guess I was wondering if it would do my engine any harm by taking it out. Along with the AC until the spring because it doesn't work either. The pulley is hooked up but it will not engage. Just some questions for when I put in my new water pump and Radiator so I can just do it all at once.
I'm not familiar with 3rd gens but the air pump on a 4th gen is electric! lol
yeah I was confused by that as well, there is no AIR pump on the serpentine belt, at least not on my car. I have SMOG if thats what he's talking about?
Well stripped out the AC and all that crap that isn't needed anymore. Replaced the water pump and Radiator. The car doesn't reach over 190 anymore compared to the 220 it like to run at during the summer. The old radiator was horrid. It had build up of calcium and who knows what. Happy my father helped me because at the time I had 7 stitches in my thumb and it was still a bit tender. Everything went together well. Now I bought a fuel pump, NOT AIRTEX!!!, and strainer. The pump that is in it now still runs but like to act odd. It stopped running at an Autozone store of all places. Couldn't get the car started without-knocking on the pump itself to get it home. It has been running ok ever since but has a delay and 250 rpm drop every once in a while, but that's a whole different topic/story. I have not installed the new pump yet but I plan to this weekend. I'm going to check to fuel float as well because my gauge does not work.... I'm hoping its just not connected or dissolved and not something electrical.
Sorry about the neglect to the thread guys. Work has sapped my energy lately. Thanks to those who replied. Hope every one had a happy turkey day.
