Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

I'm looking to find out where to begin the troubleshooting process to see why my cooling fan has stopped working on my 85 z28 Camaro (v8, 5.0). Any ideas? your help is appreciated. I am thinking about hooking up a switch to just turn the fan on and off at will. Pros and cons of a manual switch would also be appreciated. I fascinated on how things work and just need a place to start.
Thanks, Brian.
There is a relay between the battery and the radiator that could be bad,or the fan it's self could be bad. There is a green wire going to that relay, strip a small spot and run a jumper wire to the battery negative or another ground and the fan should come on.if it does I would replace the relay for starters.there is a ton of info on this topic at tgo, just do a search.hope this helps.
We did that with the fan and it works. I will do some research like you said. There's probably a sensor somewhere that needs to be replaced in order to get the fan running when it needs to. Do you know of any sensors that would cause the fan to not realize it should be activated to cool off the engine? Thanks.
