Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Yeah. I knew he had it last summer and I wanted to swap it in over last winter but couldnt cough up the money for it. I ended up just buying it though so at least I have it. Theyre not getting any easier to find and they go for a pretty penny in good condition, I guess this one must be kinda rare being a 2 bolt 511 casting. He wanted $300 for the whole motor which I thought was a steal. Then once I pulled the heads he wanted them (dunno why 400sbc heads suck) and said hed let me have it for $200 if he could keep the heads. Well hell yeah... more then I could have gotten outta them for scrap anyways!
the heads arnt to bad the 882 and 883's are alright the flow nice they just need better valves but are really bad at cracking... specially the 883's still thats a steal for a bottom end im looking at about 300-500 for a stock bottom end but i dont know id like to make a large stroke one and the world blocks seem to be better suited for it... specailly if i want to go anything 4.0 stroke or larger almost have to do an aftermarket block.. my butty has a 2 bolt just needs a hone and bore job on it but the crank is junk and the stock pistons and rods arnt that great... so for 300 bucks not sure i want to do that much work to it...
