    454 small block TPI! 500hp and 580 ft-lbs with AS&M runner, 525hp and 590 ft-lbs with a Super Ram

    I'd love to build something like this one day. Ultimate stealth motor...until you fired it up.

    Rip that tuned port off and throw a stealth ram on it, I bet it would make boatloads of HP up top. That would still be killer in a street car.

      how do you make a 454 small block. i thought the biggest displacement small block was the 400, or am i missing some super secret trick to engine building

        Just takes a long stroke on a 400. Looks like they used a GM block. There are other aftermarket blocks that will get you there too.

        Kind of a waste though....the same displacement in an LS motor would spank that old school tech. Sorry Matt, had to throw that in there

          Blah bla blah L essssssss....

          Did you notice the motor was built in 1992? Cylinder head technology has come along ways since then. I'm sure a modern build would have better numbers. TPI is stealth!

            The LS engine would most likely make more horsepower but the torque will be lower than the horsepower.
