Alright, so I'm still dealing with my beast of a car.
Had a lot of problems with it not wanting to rev over 3800. Well we took it out for a test drive after a new cap and rotor and it was running great, other that it would still only rev to 3800. Crusing down the high way the SES light clicked on and we had just enough time to look at it before the engine cut to 500 rpm. Not cool when you were just clocking 80. We struggled down the highway and it would barely stay running at normal (2k) rpms. Hit a stop light after the exit and would hardly go (no power down low) till it was suggested I floor it. The engine hit above 2500 and TOOK OFF! The thing was running amazingly from 2500 to 5000. Drove it home at 3k-4k, definately turning a few heads. Pulled the code when I got back and it was 33. That says MAP sensor. WTF??
So my question is what would cause this kind of problem? I read somewhere on here that it was also code for MAF high voltage. Is that a sure sign my MAF is bad and could this be the root of all my problems? (I sure hope so, I'm running out of things to replace)
