  • I know my idle is high but damn.................... help please

    well for some reason my tach wants to tell me im idling at like 7k when im in gear and off the tach when im in nuetral does anyone have any idea what would cause this? is there a tach driver on the dist.? anything in the computer that would cause this? heres a few pics

    There is a wire that comes off of the dist to feed the tach. See if it is loose/burnt/etc. What ignition do you have?

        and i check and it looks like the ign module one plug 2 wire goes to the coil and the other plug goes inside. so would a new ign module help this problem

                  so should i pull the dash out and replace the driver? or is the dash a full one piece assembly? im just not really sure what to replace or where to start. the engine bay is gonna almost be completely new this winter since its getting a heart transplant but if thats not gonna fix the ongoing problem for the past 3 years idk like to figure out what will
