over heating 87 ta

I had a fan mount problem that melted some wires on my firewall on my 87 305 automatic ta. Replaced elec. ignition, module, ign control mod/unit, radiator fan relay, rad fan relay pgtail, electronic fan motor temp. sender, temp switch.

The temp. gauge never used to go over 190. Now it goes up to 230 in the city and about 190. on highway. Is there an easy way to bring the temp. back down for city driving? I don't need any more wires burning up.
