  • IROC needing reassembly

My old neighbors in Grandville have a IROC, not sure what year but he said he had a headgasket problem or something like that, he tore it down and it has been apart for a couple years, well during that time he has had to walk away from the project cause his back his terrible and cannot stand stooped over the car anymore to reassemble it.

I spoke with his roomie and she asked if I could find someone who would do this-Reassembly reasonably- I told her I would check with the AWESOME group of Fbody guys and girls I know online and see what couldn't be done to help him get back into his car and drive tionce again.

SO if anyone would be interested in driving over and checking it out and seeing if they wanna help or take on the task drop me a PM with your phone number, name and best time to contact you and I will pass this info on to them.

The car is located On Sunnybrook Dr right off kenowa near 44th st.

    Thanks ahead of time..

Need some more info. Does it just need the head gaskets replaced and the heads/intake re-installed? How far did he tear it down? Does he have the funds to purchase the parts required to do the job? I don't want to commit to anything just yet, I need to know exactly how much time this could take, and if it would be worth the drive to help out. I don't know enough about engines to rebuild the whole darn thing, but I know enough to replace the head gaskets and re-install the heads and intake. . .

No problem, I'll swing by and pick you up if you want. Probably won't be for a couple of weeks. If it's as easy as I think it is, it shouldn't take too long to get the engine re-assembled. I get back to the states on the 10th of April, I'd like a little time to get some work done on my car, so I'm thinking of going around the weekend of the 23rd.

To the OP; Does this neighbor of yours have tools to finish the job, or do we need to plan on bringing some along with us? What kind of equipment does he have? Air compressor? Power tools? Torque wrench? (I can bring mine if need be) Let me know what exactly is going on, and I'll help you get something together. Might need some gas money, but that's about all I'd ask for. Oh, and food. Can't work efficiently on an empty stomach. lol

this is my old neighbor guys .. I have no clue what all it needs or has been done to it, last I saw it the engine was in the car and the heads were off.

I can get his phone number and you guys can call him and discuss it all, I am just trying to hook him up with knowledgeable people with camaros and the like. I honestly thought more people would be interested in this..
