dose anyone know what all i would have to change to put a t56 in my camaro

Think it would be shifter, trans crossmember, master cylinder, slave cylinder...maybe the center console. I don't think you need your computer retuned but I'm not sure.

me personally i would save alittle more money and buy the t5 from tremic.. you can get one with a areally nasty overdive and it comes with the capablity of 500 or 600hp...so if your no where near that..you can beat the snot out of it and never worry about hurting the trans. you won't need a tune...i swapped out the 700r4 for a t5 and didn't have a tun made.. car runs fine. the shift light dont' work thats about it. the one form tremic is a replace ment verson for our t5s so if you have a good clutch it will work for it... the stock slave and pedals and all that junk out of a factory t5 car will work for you. you'll just have to shorten the drive shaft for the tremic i believe.Comment

car looks like a 86. Note the hight third brake light, 86 only, also the bumpers are not 84 style. They are 85-90.
