198? firebird

Well i found a guy whos got a 198? firebird with a rebuilt 350. It would be somewhat of a project but he is intrested in trading me, my truck for the bird. I'm going there tomorrow to check out the car and i'll bring the camera along with for some pics and post 'em up tomorrow.

well turns out they sold the car earlier today, i was extremely pissed off, looks like i need to start saving more to just buy another one.

I'm sorry. When i went and looked at my car I told the guy I was extremely interested. He said he would hold it. 2 days later he calls and said he sold it to his buddy. MAN I WAS PISSED. It was the only Ws6 i could find, week and a half later he calls me back and said the deal didn't go through! So THEN I bought it. LOL. Hope the same happens!

Thanks, but I just found an 86 blue Iroc-Z with the 350, not sure if its a tpi or not and i'm not sure of the mileage, i'm gonna get out of work early tomorrow to go check it out and i hope to god it will still be there. I'll take some pics and probably post em up tomorrow. Oh yeah and that other firebird, was 900 bucks, enterior was shit, have to get everything new, but the whole motor was rebuilt, paint was sh*ttier than sh*t too so its really not that big of a loss.

well i went to go look at that iroc z on friday, its not that nice for how much the guy is asking for it. $2995 for a shot interior, cracks all over the lower front bumper, t-tops do not leak which is good, little rust spots, rear shocks are bad, hood isn't aligned, and the guy said it had a 305 tpi, and he put in a 350 and used the same TPI unit for it, which means I would need to get new injectors and other shit like that to make it like a 350 tpi that runs how it should. So.........at the dealership I work at, they just got in a 1988 Monte Carlo SS with the 305 h.o. I have some pics and i'll post 'em up here in a little bit. I'm going to trade my firebird for it Monday.

love the 80's monte carlo SS, my cousin that just got the srt-4 had a 86 black monte SS with a 383, and it was pretty damn quick. its nice to get something that as fast as a v8 f-body but sooo much more comfortable to drive

yeah i would really like one, my car is really clean but its got a v6, and theres really not shit to do to mod it, only little things, next big mod would be an engine swap, and then i get just save up for a new one, so instead i'm just going to trade it in for that monte and look for a trans am or a camaro (third gen) this summer that is decent, aslong as it runs and theres no rust. I could care less about interior, it wouldn't be hard to replace it. I would get the engine rebuilt so that doesn't really matter either. But yeah if you could check out some 3rd gen trans ams for me that would be great. And here are some pics of the monte carlo and one of my car.

sell the monte carlo to you? Thats just crazy talk man, I'm kind of debating on whether or not i should trade my firebird for it or not, but i'm still leaning more towards the monte carlo just because theres very little rust underneath, looks like a recent repaint, and its got a v8, which is better than my v6. But if you want to buy my firebird then sure have at it.
