Well, its certainly not going to be cheap, but the suspension work will cost an ass load too. The comment about TPIs not reaching 400hp, check out thirdgen.org if you haven't, 400hp on a N/A TPI engine isn't exactly unheard of, but I do agree with you, the rear end will have to be replaced, and the T-5 is gonna go.\"Chevy boys, we like it fast

That rearend will hold up if you build it right. Its certainly a lot cheaper than a 9 inch or a 12 bolt. I myself have gone the route of new axles and i'll be pushing a little over 400 at the wheels. I guess we'll see how that goes.-08 G8 GT DD: Rotofab CAI, HID's, Breyton Race GTS'

ive been on the forums @ TGO for about 3 or 4 years now...and as for making a 400hp TPI motor yes, it can be done... I guess...but the only thing that can make that much power would be with cubic inches, most likely a 427ci stroker or bigger, and even then your going to be choking the hell out of the motor. TPI was designed for a 230 horsepower 305, not a thing bigger.Originally posted by rubasteveWell, its certainly not going to be cheap, but the suspension work will cost an ass load too. Change the intake or switch to a carb, its that simple.

89 Kicker, you are correct sir. I got my car back, and It won't breathe past 5000rpms. How difficult would it be to change it over to carb? How much can I get a better injection system for?\"Chevy boys, we like it fast

Shawn, what is, if any, difference between the 3 performance wise? Or quality wise?\"Chevy boys, we like it fast

Tell ya the truth its a preference thing. They all seem to perform about the same, each has something that it excels in. The stealth ram is by far the best bang for the buck though. The mini ram is basically an LT1 intake made by TPIS and the Accel Super Ram is a Tpi looking setup with shorter runners and a larger plenum.-08 G8 GT DD: Rotofab CAI, HID's, Breyton Race GTS'

i like the edelbrock rpm air gap good from idle to around 7,000 or if you can find a old holley contender like i picked up idle to 7,200 never is gaging for air and with a newer street avenger or even a nice holley performer you will notice the difference but then you get into haveing to keep the carb tuned in and you loose gas millage pretty bad.. but its the cheep way out i got the contender off my friend for like 50 bucks and ive seen them on ebay for around 75. and just got a new 770 street avenger best holley carb i ever owned not to touchy like the old ones.Originally posted by Frank The TankTook the restrictor plate off to give the Red Dragon a little more juice. if you want to buy a carb or intake new I can probably get a good deal through my dad's supplier. I got all my autometer phantoms gauges and pod for 300 bucks new. Just let me know the part number and I can look it up for a price.------------------------------------------

Sounds good 97RS4Life, I will have to do some research and see which one is the best for my set up, as well as reviews on each.\"Chevy boys, we like it fast
