Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!

From scrolling through some images, it looks like the nose is the same for all of them.

I think it is because I take it in and out all the time, the rubber has just stretched out, especially at the bottom where it is really thin. It annoys me more then anything.
It's hard to explain the differences "on paper" between the bumpers of a 91-92 Formula vs the Trans Am, but I'll give it a try.
First of all between the years there is no difference, it's between models that the difference occurs. They all had turn signals in the front, although not all had fog lamps. Fog lamps were part of the Sport Appearance Package which was avaliable on Firebird and standard on Trans Am.
There is a huge difference in design between the Trans Am/Sport Appearance Package bumper and the Formula bumper.
The Trans Am's front bumper cover had a more areodynamic appearance. Which included an extra bump-out on the lower portion to match up with it's Areo-side ground effects, and the center portion has a more curved opening going back to the fog lamp/turn signal.
The Formula's lower portion did not have the extra bump-out, and has more of a sharp cut-in going back to the turn signal. (A much cleaner look, IMO) The Formula was not available with the Sport Appearance Package and therefore I've never seen one with fogs lamps. That doesn't mean that a Formula bumper couldn't be converted to accept the fog lamps though, all depends on what look your friend wants.
I hope you can see the differences from the photo's below.
Formula style front end........
Trans Am style front end.............
In this photo you can see how the fog lamps look on a GTA........

The one with black inserts is the one w/o ground effects. I like that one better, so I switched it out on my car. So I have ground effects on my whole car except the front. It doens't look that bad, I think.
ACTUALLY --- I still have my old one! I think I also have the side little gfx in front of the fenders. I'll sell it for $150
