What offset are you running now? And do you still have the factory rear end?

You run out of space very quickly with third gens...the rims may fit, but the tires may rub...

And something else you may want to consider...the departure angle going rearward on the body was not really developed for a super wide tire...in a rear view, if the above assumptions are correct, it could look like the tire and rim are completely sticking out of the wheelwell.

If that is not a concern (or it may even be the desired result), you can run a spacer on the rear, but you'll likely have to replace the lugs with longer ones to get that to work.

depends on what you want in a tire, ride quality, traction, longevity, ect.

more like finishing a minitub in the back. I didnt want the tires sticking out a mile and looking retarded... I was gonna run just some wheel spacer but im sure the edge of the tire would have been right on the wheel well. i currently have 225/50/zr16 on the car i dont really know what im looking for something aggressive.... i have 2 sets of tires... and price doesnt matter... i found out if you wanna do it right sometimes it take a little more money.

This is what a 245/50/zr16 looks like with a zero offset wheel...I think you'll already be further outboard than this...look at how much tire is exposed down low at the ground effects panel...this appearance will just get larger...

EDIT: I forgot to add that the front track in 3rd gens is about 10 mm wider than the rear track, which can create some appearance problems.

When I redid the wheels, in a plan view the rear tire is actually tucked inside of the o/b edge of the wheel well lip by 5 mm...the front are line to line in a PV...I almost went with a 255 tire, and that would have put me line to line in the rear, but the fronts would stick OUT of the wheel well by 5 mm.

That, and a 245 front WILL rub at a full turn lock with a zero offset wheel...not bad, but a 255 would be worse.

Not at all what I wanted...and I didn't want to run different size tires.

I'd double check your offset to be sure where you sit before making a decision.

Cooper Cobras. Great tire, great price, and I love the classic style tread with the raied white lettering.
I'm much more active on TGO as they have more info pertaining to my model, but I do stop by from time to time.

yeah what i think is im going to have to get them fitted on and just take a look at how my offset is gonna be... i might have to do a little more custom work to make everything fit just right....
