I have no idea how those seats (with the grey) would look in my car (red interior) But I think the black ones that you have would look great...But I as well have never seen any with that color scheme before are they out of a bird/camaro?

Came out of an 86 Camaro, if I remember right. I bought them off of sandslot. It doesn't show well in the pictures, but the outer edge is actually Navy blue. They look really nice, I have the backs too. They are all in A++ shape.

No offense, but I always HATED the red interiors in the 80's.

Allright, finally cleared up a bit, so here are the rpomised pics of my second car, the "donor" I guess you could call it. This car was an absolute STEAL off of Craigslist. Shelled out a whole $600 for it.

Runs excellent, driving it daily, no issues. The tires were brand new, still have the hairs on em. It came with a second frame/shell, 2 extra sets of doors, 2 sets of door skins, aftermarket door pins with grese fittings on them, a chiltons, a haynes, and a box of assorted spare parts.

Notable options would be the digital dash, which I wont be using, and the 5 speed. 305 TPI, and the WS6 package.

I'm not sure if these seat are original to a Camaro, but I do know that they were available in some 3rd Gen Firebirds. They are kinda unique and remind me of the Buick Grand National colors.

Ah if there is a little of blue in the seats then they for sure wont go with my interior! I wanted to go a two tone black and red seat but they are really hard to find, so I am looking for black seats...If you are ever thinking about parting with you black ones shoot me a PM... I hate the red interior too in the 80's my car is a 92 but I still hate the red interior, its just to much red so I want to break it up a little and maybe swaping it all over to black...

that last picture would be the seats that I really want, but all black would work too...

LOL. Trust me, the camera is being VERY kind. Theres alot of rust that doesnt show up, and the dash is a wiring nightmare. And the interior is pretty hit.

So, after a weekend of parts pulling, the engine compartment is nearly clear, the block is about all that is left. Found some interesting additions in the clearing stages. Apparently, the car has a pair of Hooker super comp headers on it, an Edelbrock intake, and a set of chrome Edelbrock valve covers. Bonus! Ohh, and a dual exhaust setup. I really should look at these kind of things before I buy a car.

Started dismantling the dash. Pulled the dash pad off, and on the passenger side theres... NOTHING. See the pics, that was right after the pad came off, nothing else was removed. Gastly.

Next step, finish removing the interior, and pull the heads off. Doesn't look like I will need to pull the entire engine, the burn line seems to have stayed pretty high up. I need to pull the heads because the oil filler cap melted down into them.

Parts to add to me list: A new distributor, and the center panel between the T-Tops. Finally found some rust on the car!

On a side note, my plans have changed slightly. Since my donor car is an 87 TPI, the amount of extra crap I would have to switch over just seems a little too excessive. So, she gets a reprieve! I'm going to keep it as my DD for the summer, and will work on restoring it after this one is done, a couple years down the road. Or, I may sell it. Anyone want a slightly rusty 87 with a dig dash, manual tranny, and TPI?

So I'll have to locate a bone yard 86 I can strip all of the little doodads out of to rebuild the engine compartment. I have another dash assembly and heater core, so should be set there.

                        Ugh, the T-top center bar.

Mine was terrible too, I have one in my basement that I wirebrushed the surface rust it had (not a lot), and then painted with some flat black Krylon Rust Eliminator. Looks sharp, just never got to use it...
