So I buy a Firebird last fall. Drive it home (about 20 miles) and park it in the driveway. Clean it up and drive it to the storage shed, another 10 miles or so. Get the car out the other day and it starts up hard. No problem because it was sitting a few months. Drive it home without a problem. Now it will not start! ANY IDEAS?!?!?!? 1992 Firebird with V6 & auto trans.

I know this seems pretty obvious, but how about the battery??? Did you check the charge on it??West Michigan Pontiac Club

I would have auto zone check the battery with a load on it if it's cranking slow. If it's cranking good, make sure your fuel pump is working properly. You can always start checking fuses on the chance one popped on ya. manuals should be launched off the limiter and the throttle shouldn't leave the floor til 10 feet after the finish line

Spark & fuel.
Also try and dry out the cap, may have some mosture in it.

Were cranking good. What fuses? Just check them all? When you first turn the key just so that there is power (don't crank it) can you hear the fuel pump cycle??
Edit: never mind on that, you answered quicker than I could respond.

How would you suggest checking the spark and fuel to make sure I dont mis something? It ran just fine last fall and coming home this spring. I just dont want to chase my tail on this for a long time. the easiest way to check for spark is to pull 1 plug wire and 1 sparkplug. plug the plugwire back onto the sparkplug, and ground the electrode somewhere onto the body or engine where it will get a good ground. have a friend crank the engine over while you look for spark at the plug. a nice blue spark is the best.1967 chevy sportvan deluxe-fun cruiser

check for spark by takeing a plug off and holding it while some one cracks the engine if you lose control of your body and then are violontly thrown from the engine bay then you probaly have sparksigpic
