    i have my hands on a t5 transmission from a v6 and i was wondering if i could get it to work with a v8 i was told yes and i was told no i have ask this on my other forums i was just wondering what you guys have to say i think i am posting this in the right area oh and its in my 83 camaro with a 355 1976 block

    Can you argue that it's "revolutionary"? Perhaps. Just because it's "new" and "different" doesn't mean it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.

    The T5 came in the v6's and 305 V8's. You can run it behind a 350 but you cant beat on it like you could a T56. It would hold up fine but not for the strip or for big clutch drops. I have a buddy running a stock T5 in a camaro with a mild built 350 and hes had it in there for 2 years.
