  • Junyard finds? And what do I call this?

Almost done with gathering the parts to start putting my T/A together. Hoping to get started this weekend, which will mean a progress thread with lots of Pics!
The one part I am having NO luck finding is a part of my digital dash. The cluster itself is fine, but hte upper drivers information screen in the center of the console, above the radio, is shattered.
So, has anyone ever seen one of these intact in a local junkyard? What is the correct term for it? I'm going to hit a local junkyard this weekend that has 5 birds in it. I'll keep my eyes open for any good finds. Maybe we should start a junkyard forum, where people can snap pics of yard birds and throw them up?

You can always try Parts Galore. You never know and it's only $1 to get in. I'll go with you if you want lol

I've never had a problem with the 8 mile one. I need to get some weatherstripping from there soon.

When they have 4th gens the doors are torn off almost instantly lol. They have them occasionally.

X2 go to the ghetto, But take a shitty car or your nice car will be gone, but this place has some nice ass parts, It looks like a damn shopping mall the parking lot is huge, makes the 8mile one look crappy.

they have F-bodys up the ass sometimes.

Digital dash components are extremely tough to find.

You may just as well cave and go to one of the internet restorers...especially if you want it done in the next couple years...lol...

If an F-Body makes a junk yard it's almost toast any how

Although when I did mine I found 1 that had a good front clip, amazing!

I'm fairly new to the area, so I haven't heard of parts galore either. Sounds like a cross between a boneyard and a flea market? Interesting, I'll have to check em out.

Found an online restorer that has the digital dash, they want 250 with no guarantees. Ah well, guess I'll take it.
