  • Looking for opinions...

Alright guys I am looking to do some work on my interior soon, I want to upgrade to 4th gen seats in my 3rd gen camaro. I've been searching different junk yard and classified sites looking for a nice set and I came across some pictures. I found a two tone seat Black and Red I think I would really like in my car. My car has RED interior with black dash and plastics. Here are some pictures.

    My interior:

The 4th gen seats I like:

What do you guys think? Would it look good, or?

Ya, I think that it will go a long ways to break up all the red, and really complete the two tone interior look.

Hey, if you buy my car, you can have an all-black interior.

Rarest, what makes it rare? I remember seeing a 1995 camaro with a similar two tone red and black style... Is it hard to find a 4th gen with two tone interior?

I was thinking the same thing, plus I HATE the all red. Yuck!

Kyle that is one reason why I would love to find a great donor parts car...I absolutley hate my interior and would love to either change it over to all black thridgen or use 4th gen seats....

its hard to find the black/red combo 4th gen interior combo. ive personally only seen (in cloth) tan and the black/grey interior. you dont see to many sporting that interior, even less thats for sale

not sure on specific yrs but the red/black was a early 4th gen thing. I've only seen a few sets for sale before, plus alot of early 4th gen seats are trash by now

most 4th gen seats are gray or dark gray two tone, etc

Why not get seat reappostery kit and redo the seats you have to red and black. We did the seats in "red alert" last summer. not that hard to do. No doubt brian posted 4,567 pictures of us doing it.

What did that run you guys Larry? Also whats all involved, I was thinking 4th gen seats because I have heard that they are much better then 3rd gen seats and actually sit a little lower and of course are direct bolt in! I am going to look for that thread or maybe I'll PM brian and he may be able to find it for me...

Cool idea. If you want those in leather you may have to consult Katskins or a local upholsterer. If you want cloth, those were stock in a few 4th gens and can be had quite affordable if you are patient.

you need to ask Brian on the price, because he added special Red Alert embroidery on head rest. He usually doesn't tell me price of stuff because he doesn't want to hear me ***** about how much he spends, Ha Ha.

The trick is to wait for a set from LeatherSeats.com to appear on ebay. They're "clearance" items that were ordered, made, and then either not shipped or returned before being used. Got my set cheaper that way, but then I added another $150 or so onto mine for the Red Alert embroidery like my dad said.

Those look great Brian! Where did you have all the material made at, local shop? But $600 may be a little more then I am wanting to spend on seats...

Yea I know Kammi just sold a set for like $125 I believe, I am going to hit a couple local yards and see if I get lucky. The pictures above are out of a 95 so maybe I'll be able to find one.
