Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Is the motor working? Obviously it did when you opened it but if you hit the switch again can you hear it working? Or the motor went bad is all I can think off if you checked the fuses and they were good...I just had to replace mine last month!
I can't remember how I fixed my pull-down motor...
What I think it was is the motor got "stuck", and you have to cycle it down and back up.
I think theres a switch on the motor somewhere (a manual button or something).
EDIT: Found it
You opened the hatch before it had completed the "down" cycle. You need to have it finish the down cycle or it won't come back up. Here's how you re-set it. Look at the latch with a flashlight. There is a black switch attached in front of the latch by a single hex-head screw. There are three wired coming out of it (orange, black and white). On the opposite side of the switch from the screw is a small black paddle. That is the actual switch part of the switch. Press on that paddle and the motor should turn on and power the latch down. You'll hear a CLICK which is the reversing switch being tripped to stop the down cycle. Release the switch and the motor will turn on again in reverse direction and power the latch portion all the way up. Again it will end with a CLICk of the reversing switch shutting down the up cycle. That's it your unit is now re-set and ready to pull down once you've closed the hatch.
Press the hatch release and listen for the relay click (two people here would be helpful). It it's not clicking, you either have a bad relay, or your not getting power. Considering it sounds like it worked before, I'd lean towards the former.
If it does click, the striker could be bad...
