Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

could a 350 shortblock be swapped in, keeping the 305 TPI heads/intake/etc but what yr ECM/ fuel injectors would be needed to swap in because '85 350s used TBI
i'm sure it has been covered 100's of times already but...
It will bolt up fine as for the small details such as the heads cc size im not sure but from 55-86 I believe all sb chevy parts can be swaped for one another except one of the first sb chevys main bearings where slightly larger then the others forget which year but nothing you need to worry about good luck
example 1967 chevy z-28s 302 was a 327 block with a 283 crank in it

Putting stock 305 heads on a 350 is stupid. Just use the 350 heads. A TPI is a TPI...doesn't matter if it came on a 305 or a 350, they are all the same. The only thing that was different was the injector size and the chip in the ECM. Just get yourself some 24# LT1 injectors and a AFPR and that will get you by until you can get an appropriate chip burned.

the real question is If the stock tpi intake and cam can support the extra cubes and take advantage of it and as for that I dont know but it will all bolt together

FYI the 327 block was nothing more than a 350 block with a different casting number. The 302, 327 & 350 all used the same block as they all had a 4" bore, the only difference was the stroke of the cranks.

Why would you use the 305 cam? Use the 350 cam, it should be fine and I'm sure the intake will flow enough.

FYI the 302 has a 327 casting # 4inch bore block and a 3inch stroke crank out of the 283 so yes it was the same as 350 block but since the 327 was the first one to use the 4 inch bore the 350 is really just a 327 block with a different stroke crank

yes it will all swap. With the 350 I'm building, all the $$$ i stuck into my 305 in the top half. (over $1500.00 Cam, ported plenum, Edelbrock runners, Edelbrock intake, Holley AFPR, 24# injectors, Double timing chain and gear, new springs, new gaskets and such, and dyno tuned) It will all swap over to the 350 when I'm ready. LOL...I though i did more then I should, But at least it will all swap over.
