Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Take the glove box door to the locksmith. He can dismantle the cylinder without hurting it, and determine the key code, which chould match the door cylinders.
Otherwise. remove the door panel and slide the U clip off the cyilnder and the lock will fall out of the door.
When reassembling, make sure the door lock rod goes into the loop on the lock.
I have taken the hatch cylinder out and switched out the tumblers it's actually pretty easy. There are i think about 8 tumblers and 8 little springs, and a little piece of spring steel that keep them inplace, all you have to do is pry off the top retainer piece, then take a small pick or a paper clip and pull out all of the springs, and the push out the tumblers using the paper clip, then simply insert them into the new lock cylinder in the same order. A guy at the Saginaw chevy dealer showed me how to do this in 5 minutes, gave me a lock cylinder all new springs and a new lock cylinder cover kit, for the price of the cylinder. Works great. Well good luck and if you have any questions let me know.
