Get to pick them up tomorrow...I'm giddy like a schoolgirl...

More fantasy football winnings get spent on the car...lol...

If I didn't have football to fund some of this, nothing would get done...

    Pics will come tomorrow.

Tires, yes, that will be another decision...wondering how wide can I go in the rears...I don't think I can go much bigger than 255s.

        4 GTA "fronts" all around.

        Anyone have any experience (Joel)?

If they are 16x8 than 255 is the largest you can go safely

Cool, can't wait to see them, congrats!! I've always wondered about this.. Seems to depend on who you ask.. Summitt Racing says you can go 275 on a 8" rim, which is what I am running on my rear rims.. Does it depend if they are OEM or aftermarket?

Thats because its on a 15in rim so it has more sidewall without bulging to much. As the rim size goes up the smaller the tire you can use at the same width. IE a 10" wide 15in rim can use 325's and a 10" wide 18in rim would only be able to use a 295.

You going to run into fenderwell clearance running front offsets in the rear? 255's are the biggest 16" street tire you'll find anyways.

Maybe I should tell the whole story...this has been an interesting 7 month exercise.

The third gen GTA crosslace wheels have a different offset from "fronts" to "rears".

The fronts have a true "zero" offset.

The rears have a +16mm offset (i.e. it moves the tire further INBOARD toward centerline of car by 16mm).

                            But it doesn't stop there.

The Borg Warner rear end has a shorter track by design than what dimension is spec'd for the front track.

If you take a scale, in a plan view, the front tire is line to line with the front edge of wheel lip opening.

The rear tire is 1.25 inches (31mm) from edge of tire to edge of wheel lip opening in a plan view using a 245 tire.

So, even if you run fronts all the way around, the rear wheels will still be sitting 15mm inboard of the fronts. To even both tracks up, you need to run "fronts" on all four corners, and run a half inch spacer on the rears (assuming you keep 245s all the way around).

However, in theory, if you could find a 275/45R16 tire, you could run that in the rear and a 245/50R16 up front and not have a spacer...but the only tire I've found in a 275/45 is the Hoosier C6 Competition Drag Radial...it'll be tight, and I need to confirm when tires get mounted, but it should fit.

Sooooo...the jury is still out on what's going to happen. But I think I'll investigate the half inch spacer, either 245 or 255, and see how it looks...probably 245 as 255 would be outside the wheel well in the front.

                            The real work begins now...lol...

I figured you were just going to restore it to stock, not mod it.
