  • i cant find these rims

my neighbor is going to sell me 15" rims he thinks they are clled bear claws but i am not sure i cant find them on the net and they are at his parnts house under all kinds of stuff so he has to dig them out to bring one down for me to look at them but he says it will take a while. so my question is can anyone find a picture of them for me so i can see what they look like so that i can tell him if he should dig them out or not.
    thank you

i wouldn't buy 15's considering your car comes stock with 16's, would 15's even fit. I don't know if this is for your car or another car, but i'm not sure 15's would even fit over the brake claiper. anyways let us know what they look like.

Yes 15's will fit a 3rd gen. As will 14's since the base and sport coupes came with 14's. He has an 83 anyways. It came stock with 15's. 16's didn't start coming on 3rd gens till the 85 IROC then it was only available in the IROC package.

I've never heard of a wheel called a bear claw. I'm guessing they're probably aluminum directionals from the 80's.

he said i might be able to look at them this weekend he told me it looks like you took a solid rim and a bear grabed it and tore out some of the metal with it's claws all the way around and he thought they were called bear claws he said they are directional wheels but he is not sure if they are true directionals.

You are correct with the exception being the 91-91 models years when you could option the Z28 16's on a RS.
