    i have a 1983 camaro but my carbed 305 is not from a camaro, my question is what vacuum lines actually need hooked up and which ones can just be pluged off. i have the vacuum canister and all the lines also do i need a vacuum regulator or can i get away without one.

    get a service manule and find the routing for the vaccume lines. the important ones are any going to the carb and for power brakes

      Power brake booster which is the big one going in the back of the carb and you will need one for your distributor advance as well. Also the EGR Valve if you are running one. Those are 3 biggies I can think of right now.

        You'll also need the one coming out of the firewall for the heater controls.

          i have a service manual but it doesent tell you anything about the vacuum. i have the brake one and the distributer and the egr hooked up but not the fire wall one for the heater.
