Not a fan of Nexen tires or other Korean cheapo tires. 4.5" backspacing is the right backspacing for 8" wheels

One more question, which tire would you guys use?

          225/40/18, 235/40/18, 245/40/18,
          225/45/18, 245/45/18 and 255/45/18

The bottom three choices add $60.00 dollars total, but I wouldn't mind. Like I said I want the best.

            245/40/18 is the correct size

What is yours sitting on Sean? I was thinking the widest they could come because I'd like a little more traction.

Anyone else? What tire combo looks good or what would the benefits be?
I was thinking getting the 245/40's up front and 245/45's in the rear, does that make sense?

Why do you want a taller tire on the back? They need to offer a 255/40/18 which would fit and be only slightly taller than the stock 245/50/16's and be a bit wider.

Oh my bad, I keep forgetting its width x height !
Probably just go the 245/40's all around.
What about the 255/45's for the rear? or would it stagger the stance to much and look stupid?

The 255/45's are going to be taller as well as wider. I'd have to look up specs to see just how much difference in height there is between a 245/40 and a 255/45. It'll give you some rake but there won't be any rotating tires if they are directional and if they aren't you can only swap side to side.

Huh, thanks for that info. Didn't think of that. Aren't the numbers in millimeters? So the rears would be 5mm's taller?

The width is in millimeters. The sidewall is the percentage of the width. So a 40 series sidewall is 40% of the width of the tire, which in this case is 245mm.

                                4.50" backspacing, does that work?

I can't believe they are sooo cheap right now.

1280.00$ delivered with rubber. 245/45/18 and 255/45/18 rears

560.00$ for rubber is a decent price isn't it?
it depends on the quality of the tire. thoes arent a very expensive tire.. and they aren't very wide either. i'd look into a 17x9.5 so you can put a 275 width on it.
