  • Body Restoration Begins!

Alright, tomorrow I plan on taking off the body kit and bumper guards. I have a few questions to ask, how would I go about taking the body kit off(Pix would be very nice) and does anybody have pictures of a Trans Am with the camaro attached tilted spoiler.

the stock body kit is not real hard to take off, just be careful and find all the screws in the body, or you will break tabs that are hard to fix..

The doors have small diecast studs that you have to get from the inside of the doors, so you will have to remove the door panels..removing the tires will help getting to some of the screws as well.

you will have to take all your interior trim off in the hatch to get to the bolts that hold the rear bumper on, plus there are plastic tabs under the tailights and underneath to pull off to get the bumper cover off.

I do not have any pics but just recently dismantled a 87 TA for this very reason, will help if I can..

    Good luck..
