Thats exactly why I'm doing my own installs, better to do it yourself and know how it works than to pay an assload of cash.

lol shawn. The engine and trans is out of the car. This weekend coming up I am working on the engine and replacing the gaskets and stuff because some of them are leaking. Next weekend will be pulling the gas tank to install the new 255lph edelbrock fuel pump and install the drive shaft loop and some other misc fuel system stuff. And so on! Fun fun fun! I love working on cars(thats not sarcastic by the way )

        Update!

Last weekend we trailered my car to my friends house and used his lift to make the fuel pump switch and get rid of some rust! The engine comes this weekend and the trans as soon as I get my taxes back. I can't wait.

That's sweet!... what all are you doing in terms of the fuel system besides the pump?

Well all I needed was the higher volume/pressure pump. The stock lines will be sufficient to deliver the fuel and for the HSR I got a set of ACCEL 30lb/hr injectors(they are good up to 490hp) which I attend to use, if I can't get there with NA I might give her a little laughing gas next winter. I got a bunch of AN fittings and braided line for the engine compartment also.

That comes in handy when installing new parts, like you mentioned, like higher flowing injectors. You don't have to upgrade fuel lines too. That's a little more mod $$$ in your pocket!

w00t, well I pretty much have my engine back together and ready to go. Just gotta make sure that my actual timing ie. crank to cam via timing chain is correct. Other than that I gotta get my trans rebuilt but i'm getting screwed outta a lot of tax money so I dunno when thats gonna be.

                          UPDATE....

Well I took my trans in today to get it built so hopefully that will be done by next week. We tore into the body today, even though it looks good in pics shes got some rust problems so we are rectifying that right now. I plan on getting rid of all of it if possible. We cut out some sections of my rear fender because it was pitted all the way through and found some previous bondo work so it might be a few weeks before I get it all buttoned up. I have pics but am on dial up so I will post them when I get back to GR. We also have the engine done and ready to go back in.
