  • For Thirdgenners w/ AC Delete

Just an FYI, instead of spending the $50-75 for an AC Delco 1LE AC-Delete pulley, summit is now carrying them for $23.

why u guys use a A/C delete pulley?

Just get a different size belt! Thats all we did on our 89 GTA.
On my 87......I just cut the V belt.

If you dont use a delete pulley youd have to route the belt around the outside of the tensioner and it doesnt have enough travel to really get it away from the water pump much. Got pics of how you did it without the pulley?

I got the size of the belt off thirdgen.org. (advance auto had it in stock)
And just re routed it. I took the bracket off and the whole deal. BUT.....we put headers on and the air pump was deleted also.

I cant take pics.....but I can go home tonight and tell you where the belt travels.

So if you took that whole bracket off what did you use for a tensioner? Did you add a turnbuckle to the alt mount?

For those interested, I got mine today from Summit. Works great, same construction as an AC Delco one.
