  • T-Tops???

This is me: I thought only 5.7L TPI motors had hard tops not T tops. Am I wrong?
When I looked for my TA 4 years ago, even GTA's with t tops had a 5.0L tpi motor.
    I wanted a 5.7, but I wanted T tops more.
Any good 3rd gen ppl explain this better?

You could get the 350TPI with t-tops.
ALL Production 350TPI f-bodies were backed with Automatic transmissions. NO manuals.

Sounds like T-tops were available w/ 350s but they are rare, rare animals.

      A good link:

And evidently they built 9 5-speed L98 350s for GM execs...

        Very limited quantities in 87-89.

thanks very much, I guess 5.7 t tops were harder to find.
I looked for 3-4 months and only found 5.7 tpi's in hard tops.
              Thanks for clearing it up

You could get t-tops in late build 87 350's too, but they are few and far between.

Alot of dealers and people would put Cars & Concepts t-tops in their cars also.

haha, umm, you dont have to tell me. but yeah, i didnt actually sell it. i had a friend who helped me work on it all the time and supplied the parts and whatnot so when i moved from hawaii, i decided to just let him have it. what i learned and the time that he helped me put into it was definitely priceless so i can justify it. however, doesnt mean that i dont wish i still had it =/
