  • 2nd Gen Ttop Conversion

    There has been a lot of people talking about 4th Gen Ttop conversions but this was the first 2nd Gen one I have seen. Check it out...

    Interesting article. I believe the first year C&C offered that conversion was '75 and that pushed the first T-tops into the T/As in '76. But most places would convert any year F-body. The earliest car I've seen one of those on was a '73 T/A.

    I had a buddy of mine in high school that had a '76 T/A and got a quote for $1500 (I think...that was a while ago) to do the conversion from a radio/sunroof installation place.

    Needless to say, he didn't do it...

      I prefer the Hurst T-Tops that were offered stock. They gave you more roof inbetween the T-Tops. I guess they were more likely to leak though.

      I prefer hardtop myself. But I wish the previous owner would have done this to my car instead of the sunroof.

        the hurst ones weren't until later though. Cars& concepts did a hack job btw (my '75 camaro had them and it looked like a 5 year old did the cutting)

          Hursts were available in '76 through early '78.
