  • '70 Trans am, touch up!

So hers another customer car, being a F body, a cool car and per Scott @92conv I thought I would share. Its a 1970 T/A 400 4 speed, And was in the Lingenfelter collection for a few years so maybe some of you have already saw the car.

It was brought to me for quite a few minor things, First being the engine was not the correct 70 Color, and was over all dirty and needed a repaint.

    Engine before:

masking off, after a lot of cleaning and degreasing

    engine primer

and done also did the exhaust manifolds. and touched up a few other brackets etc...

Next thing, drivers door had a few dings and scrapes, and the side edge of the door looked "thick" like it was heavily filled.

The door had a decent amount of filler in it, but no rust underneath, so with out reworking the whole door and quarter I straightened the door to better flush with the quarter and feathered it in with the rest of the door with light skim coat.

Primed, and I will paint it tomorrow.

Very nice, thanks for sharing Curt! Cool idea using aluminum foil for masking, never thought of doing it that way.

What a great car. And I've always loved that Pontiac blue for the engine. If I ever put another engine in my car, right or wrong, I'm going to have a very tough choice between the original black and this blue for my "corporate" V8.
