Drivers side mirror install- 79z

I have a question anyone know or give me ideas how install drivers side mirror on after paint job on a 79z camaro? It actually is different than the passenger side. I don't know how to tighten the bolts because there is usually a bracket so I need help on how to modify the install. We replaced the door panel and realized after we got rid of door that there was a bracket on it that we needed.
We bought another door but the bracket is welded on it so we are thinking there has got to be a different way to put it back on. Thanks for your time.

I have a 77z28 I would think it woulld be the same setup as mine maybe not. On mine there is a little plastic bracket that goes between the door and mirrior with two screws that holld everthiing in place. I am sure NPD has them. My bros 79 is in the garage at home I can check on that later, I seem to think they may be the same setup.

Thanks for responding to my post. I actually managed to get my friend to bring a bracket to us that we needed and it's on now. Thanks for your time, but problem is solved.
