Yep. Pretty light compared to my old one, and my old one was smaller.

A Performer RPM intake with a Holley 650 Double Pumper and Drop Base Air Cleaner does not fit under a stock '78 Formula Hood.

Time for a cowl. Or hack the hood support.

She runs!!! Haven't driven it yet, just broke the cam in. Started so easy, didn't even need to pump the gas pedal. Burned a few plug wires though. Damn vortec heads move the spark plug closer to the exhaust port.

I'll get some pics up, maybe a real crappy video tomorrow.

Well the hood just barely fit. But the tranny doesn't want to shift for some reason.

It's a TH350. The problem might be from low fluid, it was like a third of a quart low. I couldn't drive it after I added more fluid. My alternator is shot so if I turned my lights on the battery was gonna drain fast. Plus I was pullin a Justin and driving without a hood

Well the Trans problem is something to do with the Shift Kit. It seems that bird owners can't have functioning B&M shift kits for some reason. I'm gonna mess with it later in the week. Haven't felt like messing with it since it's a messy job.
