  • Smokey and the bandit- Know it all's inside please....

Alright I got a call from my dad tonight and he knows this guy that has a smokey and the bandit edition car, and its all orignal I mean like off the showroom floor clean. No flaws to the paint interior is perfect no rips nothing. And the car has its original tires still on the car and has 6,000 miles on the clock and this guy is the original owner too. So here is my question how much do you guys think this car is worth if he wanted to sell it?

Todd or Jeff would probably be able to answer this best.

Alot depends on Year as they made SE Trans Am's from 1976 - 1981. `77 being the year of the Original Bandit car.
Then you get into the T-top vs Non T-top and different engines, transmissions etc, etc....

They made a TON of those cars back then. I can't see the value being anything over the top. Probably not too much more than a Trans Am of a different color.
When in doubt, Whip it out !

i would guess it to be some place around 30 to 35 k, he could go more but not sure, pace cars on barret jackson vary, a 1980 trans am pace car all orig. under 10,000 miles went for like $33,000

Hopefully whoever buys it keeps it as a collectors piece. I know its nice to see them cruising around, but man...its just really nice to see them unmolested and in original form especially when theyre getting so rare.
Driving them on todays roads will surely trash the car in a quick hurry.
Yea...they made plenty - but most of those plenty have been destroyed either by the drivers or by the elements.
