My 150 mph speedo came in the mail just now!

Now, for those of us not familiar with 2nd gens... was a 150 mph speedo an option, aftermarket, Z28, etc?

not in yet, should be this winter

Needs serious cleaning too.

150 mph was an option in 70-71 from 72+ it was a 130 mph speedo. 150s go for some bucks too if you have one in good shape but picked this up for $30!

The 150 MPH speedometer was found in any 1970 & 1971 Camaro. This was NOT a "Z28" or SS only option.
In 1972 and carried on to 1979 the top speed was 130mph on the Speedometer.
Beginning in 1980, the federal government figured if the speedometer only went up to 85MPH, people wouldn't speed.
I guess they were wrong because they started putting higher indicated speeds back on the speedometers in the mid 80's.

ezcruisn do you know by chance if all 150 speedos come without kilos also on them?

My speedometer does not have kilometers on it.
I would assume that some of those might have been made for Canada with the kilometers on them but I am not sure.

I was just wondering becuase my stock speedo has mph and kilos however the 150 is just kilos
