  • found the car im looking for

I am selling my 1981 Chevy Camaro Z28. I love the car, reliable , great looking, T-TOPS, (DO NOT LEAK), no body rust, runs GREAT, needs nothing. I am selling the car because I am going into the military and cannot keep it at home while I am gone. 4 speed tranny. The motor is not the original motor, The previous owner had it put in. It is a built 350 with a 800 series carb, high rise intake, moroso valve covers, internal performance parts unknown. Good tires, Good brakes, Rear end just flushed, drive shaft just replaced and balanced. I am selling it for $4000 because I am leaving in a month and need it gone. Call and leave a message or text me at 440-309-6049

got a hold of him. going to look at it tomorrow. sound clean. only needs a fan shroud. the rear interior panels repaint. and has 2 small holes in the trunk. but no rust anywhere else. my dads driving out to go look at it tomorrow and hopefully driving it back for me to. also has new tires and 373 posi rear. manifolds with dual glass packs. so its gonna need some headers lol

ill let you know how it goes.

good luck man! I love those care cuz it was the first camaro I ever rode in and I remember working on them with my dad. Just make sure to check the underside for rust I went and looked at a 79 i believe 305 firebird and it ran looked alright but was more then rotted below.

well like most the cars ive looked at. it was more then meets they eye

had dings all over the place
                      paint chipped everywhere
                      hood scoop cracked
                      front airdam valiance missing
                      broken front drivers seat
                      t-top weather stripping rotted
                      window weather stripping rotted
no guages worked except gas. (go figure)

need to much work for the price he wanted. said he would have took 3200$ but it need about 2k to make it right. so the search is back on agian. to bad i wasted my dads time driving 2 1/2 hours one way to go look at it for me. i can never catch a break

thats too bad, good luck on the hunt..you will eventually find a good one

perhaps next time you find one you like ask for what the damage is and pics of the damage before sending someone to look at it. or at least high res photos of the car.

I understand your situation, but you need to remember. The car is 30 years old. Things wear out. Your either looking for a low millage original, or a restored car. And your not going to find that for 3200 dollars. I still dont think its a bad deal. Eric L
