      Lot's of options available for 2nd Gen's
The wheels to me determine the theme or purpose of the car.
As an example the current wheels give the car a steet machine look.
The real question is what is he looking for ? Becausae like I said there are literally hundreds of options out there.

Well he was looking at a TTII option. But they would have to make the rims in the rear.
          So they are pretty pricey.

Then he was thinking of the honey comb rims with a bigger dish with a chrome lip. (like the stock rim) But nothing to be found on those.

And I do not believe there are hundreds of rims to choose from, because he's been looking and can't find anything he likes. Nothing he likes that would actually look good on his car anyway.

We tried the 3rd gen GTA rims, but they would not fit on the front. We thought with the gold centers it might look good.

I've been looking also, hell it took me a long time to decide on my rims for my car.

Oh, there definitely hundreds of options available. EDIT: What size/style is he looking for? What's the budget?

What didn't fit on the GTA wheels? That was a popular thing to do back in the 80s...they should bolt right up...

They don't fit the front hub on the front. I guess it could be done if we really wanted to. We were just seeing what they looked like on the car. Just trying to get ideas.

Really? Like the lug spacing is different?

no lugs are fine. the center of the rim. It hits on the center hub of the front rotor. (dust cap, wheel bearing, you know what I'm talking about lol.)

Hmmm...just out of curiosity, did you try to put a "FRONT" or a "REAR" wheel on?

He wants like 17x11 for the rears. And they would have to custom make them.
He wanted like the gun metal gray centers with the polished lip.
So he wants something a little more flashy then what he has now.
                          He does not like them.

haha...just kidding. tried both, both fit the same.

But we were going to put the fronts in the rear because of the offset.

Not sure 11 inch wide wheels will fit without either hanging way outside the wheelwell or severe rubbing on the upper I/B part of the wheel well by the shock tower.

I'm running a 255 tire on a stock offset and a 8 inch rim and I've only got about 10mm of clearance.

And you can see in my avatar where that puts the outboard profile...
