ok so when i bought the SE it had an incorrect steering wheel and no shift knob

knowing i had to get the collar & horn guts i bought a trashed steering assembly - the collar and wheel spokes were heavily rusted and the leather was trashed

i also needed a shift knob - here i went a bit deep but bought an original SE knob (has raised seal over decal)

well i decided to give the steering some work and was pleasantly suprised how well it turned out

and here's the shift knob installed

          Looks good man!

My mechanic had a '77-ish Trans Am at his house today that I was looking at.

looking real good todd. Those cars always seem to have a place in my heart, im jealous. If it were mine though, i think i would have to swap in a black interior.

are you daily driving this thing? and are you gonna bring her out to WW?

Part of the rarity of this car is the Firethorn interior...you had to special order it to get it.

Black was the generally accepted "default" version.

And, yes, he seems to be driving the piss out of it...

interior is part of the reason i jumped on it - as a base it's a 1 of 1200 car.

not realy DDing it but its getting driven regularly right now as i work at a dealership and am working on little things in my spare time. It will be out on WW this summer as well. Whatever happens no rain if I can help it.

Catching up, but I just wanted to say I personally love the interior, of course I had a red 75 Cutlass in HS that had a similar color interior that matched the paint and loved it too, so I'm not surprised I love it.

Anyway, great pics Todd, car looks great, I hope I get to see it in person at some point!

Which car is coming to the M&G?
