  • Fuse problem?

Ok I was replacing my horn fuse, so I decided to take a look at all of them..and found in the ign fuse..its labled #15 on the chart I think? So I look at the fuse and its #30 or 35..so I took it out and put in a #15..so I tried to start the car and it wouldnt..but I thought your only suppose to put the correct number in or it could fry or something?

Why is the #30 something working and the 15 wouldnt?..Is it suppose to be like that

anything else tapped into the ign fuse that makes it need more power?

When you put the 15 in and tried to start it, did you blow the fuse? Or did it simply not start and the fuse was unaffected?

That would imply some other problem than the fuse. If the fuse wasn't powerful enough, it would fry it. It could be possible that when switching the fuses something else shorted out? Basically if it was a problem with the fuse being too small it would fry.

Will it start if you put the 30 back in it?

Have you tried more than one fuse with the recommended amperage rating? Could be a bum fuse.
