  • I have such bad luck :(

i think i spun a rod bearing in the SS ive been babying it except for ther ocational quick rev. car has 89 miles on it and its pulling like a 8 count knock, and pulling mad timing. the valve trais is chattering but it needs to be re adjusted, but my oil pressure is fine but my low oil light is on, but i check it and its full, the knocking isnt there all the time, and its real faint, and it only comes in at 3 k. if the car revs past 3k and i idle down it drops below 900 and sometimes stalls, the down rev seems like its alot faster like something is restricting it, it has been running real rich too but i think thats the tune. im just so frustrated, i cant win

if you spun a rod bearing you would lose oil pressure, you have another issue. Bearings create the oil pressure. You may have another issue but definetly sounds like a short block problem.

i lost some oilpressure but when i give it some throttle it shoots up to 40lb. its not in the red roughly 15lb of oil pressure, so it could be the loose valvetrain causing knock? the car lost some power too.
